The laminin α chain subfamily. Numbering of domains is based on accepted nomenclature (Sasaki et al., 1988; Engvall and Wewer, 1996). Numbers of laminin-type cysteine-rich (EGFlike) repeats, rounded to the nearest integer, are indicated within each domain IIIa, IIIb, or V. Note that laminins α3A and α3B share domains G, I/II, and IIIa but have distinct NH₂ termini.
