w¹¹¹⁸ males did not display any discernible ethanol-induced intermale courtship upon recurring ethanol treatment, which was reversed by transgenic w expression in mw⁺/+, mw⁺/mw⁺, and hs-mw⁺/+ without (hs-mw⁺/+) and with heat shock (hs-mw⁺/+ Hs).
