act1-159 mutants exhibit random budding and a defect in endocytosis. (A) Calcofluor staining showing bud scars in wild-type and act1-159 diploids. (B) Endocytosis was evaluated by observing the uptake of Lucifer yellow into the vacuole using fluorescence microscopy.
