Figure 2. — Raver1 is widely expressed as revealed by Northern blot analysis. Two cDNA fragments (bp 1–1326 and 1327–2257) comprising the whole ORF were amplified by PCR using DIG-labeled nucleotides and hybridized with total RNA on a mouse multiple tissue Northern (A) and a mouse RNA master (B) blot. Note that raver1 mRNA is detected in all adult mouse tissues tested, although in varying intensities (A, 1, heart; 2, brain; 3, lung; 4, spleen; 5, liver; 6, kidney; 7, skeletal muscle; 8, testis) and embryonic stages 7–17 (B, indicated above samples). Equal RNA load is demonstrated by probing for β-actin mRNA.
