Sequence-specific activity of ODNs targeting the N regions of the DOHH2 or the SU-DHL-4 cells. Three phosphodiester sense ODNs complementary to discrete segments of the N regions of DOHH2 cells (A) or SU-DHL-4 cells (B), as shown in Fig. 1, were employed. Antisense, inverted, and scrambled ODNs were used as controls. Untreated cells were considered as further control. All ODNs were administered at 10 μM on day 0 and at 5 μM on days 1 and 2. Cell counting and 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide assays were carried out on day 3. Data represent the means ± SEM of five experiments.
