Conformational changes of the T- or DHT-bound AR vs. Adiol-bound AR. In vitro translated AR was incubated with 10 nM DHT, 100 nM T, 10 nM Adiol, 100 nM DHEA, 10 nM Adione, 100 nM E2, 10 μM HF, or 0.01% (vol/vol) ethanol for 60 min at room temperature before limited proteolytic digestion with trypsin. Digestion products were analyzed by electrophoresis on SDS/12.5% polyacrylamide gels and visualized by autoradiography. Trypsin resistant bands are indicated by asterisks.
