Sensitivity of E. coli to ALF 021 and ALF 062 compounds. E. coli cells grown under aerobic or anaerobic conditions were treated with 500 or 200 μM ALF 021, respectively, and with 50 μM ALF 062 (see Materials and Methods) in the absence or in the presence of Hb.
