Immunoblot analysis of α-enolase in M. fermentans cell fractions. Intact M. fermentans cells, the soluble fraction, and isolated membranes (10 or 100 μg of protein) were blotted onto nitrocellulose paper and treated with rabbit anti-α-enolase antibodies (1:200). The blots were then treated with horseradish peroxidase-conjugated mouse anti-rabbit IgG and developed with the o-dianisidine substrate as described in Materials and Methods.
