The ABC transporter was postulated in analogy to K. oxytoca and Thermococcus sp. strain B1001 (15, 20). G-1-P, glucose-1-phosphate; G-6-P, glucose-6-phosphate. The formation of glucose by CGTase is not shown. Glucose and glucose-6-phosphate are degraded via a modified Embden-Meyerhof pathway to pyruvate.
