Cells were grown in AGCHYE medium to exponential phase at 37°C. The total lipids were extracted and transesterified to obtain fatty acid methyl esters, and products were identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The values are the means ± standard deviations of three independent experiments and are percentages of the total fatty acids.
Cultures of SH9 were supplemented with 0.1 mM oleate.
