To characterize the vesicular compartment where gB was internalized, the same experiments as in Fig. 2, 3, and 4 were repeated except that the cells were incubated with a CD71-specific antibody, in addition to the anti-gB antibody, for 60 min. After fixation, cells were stained with an anti-TGN antibody.
