Basal expression of IFN provides greater protection for cardiac myocytes than for cardiac fibroblasts. Cardiac myocyte (Myo) and cardiac fibroblast (Fib) cultures were generated from either wild-type or IFN-α/β-RKO mice. Two days postplating, cultures were infected with T3D or T1L at 10 PFU per cell.
