PLU-1/JARID1B binds to the promoter of MT genes and changes the methylation status of H3K4 in the promoter of MT1H. (A) ChIP analysis was performed with chromatin from MCF7 cells, which express high levels of PLU-1/JARID1B. Cross-linked protein-DNA complexes were immunoprecipitated using the α-PLU-1-C antiserum or the corresponding prebleed serum as a control. The immunoprecipitated chromatin was analyzed with PCR using primers specific to the promoters of the indicated genes. Input chromatin represents a portion of the sonicated chromatin before immunoprecipitation diluted 1:20. DW, a no-template control. One representative experiment out of at least three is shown.
