Experiments were done in the presence and absence of luminal Cl and HCO3. Values represent mean ± s.e.m.n = 6. DIDS (100 μm) was added to the mucosal side in luminal Cl-containing experiments and HCO3 secretion compared to luminal Cl-free experiments.
