Experiments were done in the presence and absence of luminal Cl⁻ and HCO₃⁻. Values represent mean ± s.e.m.n = 6. DIDS (100 μm) was added to the mucosal side in luminal Cl⁻-containing experiments and HCO₃⁻ secretion compared to luminal Cl⁻-free experiments.
