Experiments were done in the presence and absence of luminal Cl⁻ and HCO₃⁻. Values represent mean ± s.e.m.n = 3. DIDS (100 μm) was added to the mucosal side in luminal Cl⁻-containing experiments and HCO₃⁻secretion compared to luminal Cl-free experiments.
