Binding was performed between the indicated Fc-fusion proteins (labeled on top of each panel) and COS-7 cells expressing either contactin or NF155, as indicated on the left. Cell surface expression of NF155 or contactin in the transfected cells, as determined by antibody staining to these proteins using nonpermeabilized cells is shown in the insets of each panel. All NF155 expressing cells bound contactin-Fc and NF155-Fc, whereas all contactin expressing cells bound NF155-Fc or βC-Fc.
