OSM and UV irradiation induce p38 kinase activation. NIH-3T3 cells were either left untreated or exposed to 0.4 M, 0.6 M sorbitol or UV-C light (UV) for the indicated times. Total protein extracts were analyzed by Western blot using an anti–phospho-p38 kinase antibody. The same blot was subsequently incubated with an anti phospho-SAPK antibody, followed by a cdc2 antibody as loading control.
