Depletion of mitochondrial electron transport function prevents Siglec-8–mediated eosinophil apoptosis: effect of IL-5. Cells were co-cultured as indicated in the presence or absence of the mitochondrial electron transport inhibitor rotenone (50 μM). After 18 hours, apoptosis was analyzed using annexin-V staining.
