AMs (1 × 105) were activated with 100 units/ml IFN-γ, washed, and incubated with 1,000 units/ml of Cu, ZnSOD. AMs were treated with SP-A (25 μg/ml) or Hepes (5 mM), infected with 1010 cfu of M. pulmonis, and incubated for 0 and 6 h.
