Npl3p is a substrate for SRPK1 and Sky1p. Kinase assays were performed by using purified kinases (SRPK1 or Sky1p) and purified substrates (recombinant Npl3p or ASF/SF2) and were analyzed by SDS/PAGE followed by autoradiography.
