RNA-blot analysis showing the expression of antisense PG β-subunit mRNA in leaves of wild-type (WT) and transgenic (TA) tomato plants. Twenty micrograms of total leaf RNA was isolated from 6- to 8-week-old tomato leaves, separated by electrophoresis, and transferred to nylon membranes and exposed to film as described in “Materials and Methods.” The PG β-subunit mRNA was identified using a full-length β-subunit cDNA clone.
