(B) Migration assays were repeated in three independent experiments, each comprising four sets of independent 1143mel-derived tumor cell clones expressing wild-type FN, mutant FN, or empty vector. The numbers of cells that migrated to the bottomed chamber containing complete medium were counted in four representative fields (20×) per chamber. The data are presented as means of the number of cells migrated and standard deviations. A P value of 0.0007 was obtained from Student's t test for the group expressing mutant FN and any other groups.
