Double-immunofluorescence staining colocalized IL-18 (red, left) or IL-18Rα (red, right) with ECs (anti-CD31), SMCs (anti-α-actin), or MØ (anti-CD68) within atherosclerotic plaques. Analysis of three atheroma from different individuals showed similar results.
