(A) Monolayers of HeLa cells were incubated for 5 h with different concentrations of LPS–sCD14 complexes, and the supernatants were assayed for IL-8 production by ELISA. Results are means ± SD of triplicate determinations of a representative experiment repeated three times. (B) CD14-dependent IL-8 secretion in response to LPS–sCD14 complexes. HeLa cells were incubated with LPS–sCD14 in the presence or absence of mAbs (10 μg/ml) for 5 h, and the supernatants were assayed for IL-8 production by ELISA.
