The lower panels illustrate the four types of V_H replacement documented in this study. V_H segment replacement occurred at four discrete heptamer-like sequences, three located in FR3 (3′ FR3 heptamer, mid-position FR3 heptamer, and 5′ FR3 heptamer) and one located in CDR2 (CDR2 heptamer).
