Expression of immunoreactive ICE by human vascular SMC and EC. Supernatants (SN) or lysates (Ly; 2.5 × 10⁴ cells/μl) of unstimulated (−) or TNF-α–stimulated (+; 50 ng/ml) human vascular SMC or EC, as well as unstimulated (−) or LPS-stimulated (+; 1 μg/ml) monocytes (MØ) were separated by SDS-PAGE and analyzed by Western blot for ICE expression (α-ICE_P20, 1:300). The right lane shows the recombinant ICE_P20 protein used for immunization. Similar results were obtained in five independent experiments.
