The Ly49A transgene reduces the frequency of Ly49G2⁺ cells in an MHC class I–dependent fashion. Gated NK1.1⁺ CD3⁻ nylon wool nonadherent splenocytes from transgenic line No. 2 (A), or transgenic line No. 12 (B) of the indicated MHC types were compared with nontransgenic littermates after staining with Ly49G2-specific mAb 4D11. The frequency of stained cells is indicated.
