Table II shows the quantification of PPARα, β, and γ RNA and of PPARβ and PPARγ protein levels in the PPARβ and PPARγ mutant mouse lines, respectively.

The results represent the normalized values obtained after quantification of the RNase protection assays and Western blots (not shown). In parentheses: percentage decrease of PPARβ and PPARγ expression compared to the wild-type control samples (100%) in the PPARβ and PPARγ mutant mouse lines, respectively.
