UV-treated or PF-fixed MV-infected DC can inhibit T cell proliferation in allogeneic DC–T cell MLR. Uninfected (□) or day 2 LYS-1–infected (○) DC were either UV-treated (A) or PF-fixed (B) before addition in graded numbers to cultures containing 10⁴ DC and 2 × 10⁴ CD45RA⁺CD4⁺T cells. T cell proliferation was analyzed on day 6 of culture by [³H]thymidine uptake for the last 16 h of culture. The results, expressed as mean cpm ± SD of triplicate wells, are representative of one experiment out of three.
