Triplicates include one sample that was not incubated prior to freezing, one incubated for 24 hours, and one incubated for 48 hours. Each datapoint represents the mean correlation for the 61 (Panel A) or 46 metabolites between the specific sample and each of the other 29 samples. Filled circles show the correlation of a sample with its correct triplicate. Small pluses show the correlation of a sample with unmatched samples. A heavy bar has been placed at zero for visual reference. Thin vertical lines are used to visually highlight the groups.
