(A) An overall view of the converter/insert 2 region allows visualization of the similarity of the conformation of insert 2 and the position of the bound Ca²⁺-calmodulin in these two states. (B, C) Details of the interface between the converter and the calmodulin are shown. Most of the interactions involved in this interface are found both in the (B) post-rigor and (C) rigor-like structures. Note that the interface is rather wide, involving both lobes of calmodulin. Note also that many of the interactions involve salt bridges.
