Proliferation occurred when TGFP cells were isolated from spleens (n = 3) 4 d after transfer and exposed to specific/control antigen (PPD) in the presence of irradiated thymic APCs. [3H]thymidine incorporation was determined 72 h after culturing began. Triplicate values ± SD are shown.
