Analysis of the secretion of Hbp by the wild-type strain EB1, DH5α carrying pHE12.6 or pBR322 and strain LG1522 carrying pColV-K30. Supernatants of mid logarithmic phase cultures grown in MA-medium were collected. The proteins in the supernatants were TCA precipitated, separated by SDS-PAGE and immunodetected with anti-Hbp antiserum. The amounts loaded are expressed as OD₆₆₀ equivalents. Lanes 1 and 4, 1.0 OD₆₆₀units; lanes 2 and 3, 2.0 OD₆₆₀units.
