FSDDC aggregates (n = 3) were incubated with L. major amastigotes (two to three organisms/cell) or with LPS (100 ng/ml), IFN-γ (1,000 U/ml), and anti-CD40 (10 μg/ml) as indicated. Cytokine levels in fivefold concentrated 72-h supernatants (10⁶ FSDDC/ml) were determined by ELISA (pg/ml; mean ± SEM).
