(A) Total cell extracts were prepared from 3T3L1 cells before the initiation of differentiation and at 4, 8, and 12 d after differentiation. The cell extracts were then immunoblotted for VAMP proteins and caveolin-1 (Cav-1). (B) Fully differentiated adipocytes were transfected with random or VAMP-specific siRNA constructs. Total cell extracts were prepared 72 h later and immunoblotted for the presence of VAMP proteins. Representative immunoblots from three independent experiments are shown.
