Estimation of the pore size of CRAC channels. Permeability ratios P _X/P _Naof ammonium and its methylated derivatives were calculated from measured reversal potentials using Eq. 1 and plotted as a function of the geometric mean diameter of the organic cation. The line represents a fit to Eq. 2. The extrapolated diameter of the pore is 0.58 nm.
