Proapoptotic activity of RGDPEG-avidin:TRAIL complexes. Assays were performed in 96-well plates seeded with HUVEC that were subsequently incubated at room temperature with RGDPEG-avidin (10 μg/ml) and biotinylated TRAIL (100 ng/ml), to allow assembly of the complexes. Next, Jurkat T cells were added followed by 4 h of incubation at 37°C, after which the activation of caspase 3/7 was determined by a luminescence based assay.
