Fluorescence detection of tv-ENO1 on the surface of nonpermeabilized T. vaginalis. Paraformaldehyde-fixed, nonpermeabilized cells were treated with tv-ENO1 MAb, which was detected with FITC-conjugated anti-mouse IgG (panel b2). For controls, nonpermeabilized T. vaginalis parasites were treated with secondary antibody only, and no fluorescence was detected (panel a2).
