Note that in the absence of Nai+ and Pa, the magnitude of the Nao+-Cai2+ exchange (Ca2+ efflux in the presence of Nao+) is not different from that of the Cao2+-Cai2+ exchange (Ca2+ efflux in the presence of Lio+).
