Long-term BFA treatment prevented the addition of new channels. Some oocytes were kept in MBSH solution as usual (control). Some oocytes were transferred to the MBSH solution containing 5 μM BFA a few hours after cRNA injection and remained in the same solution thereafter (BFA-treated). The background conductance (g_bkg) and cAMP-elevated Cl⁻ conductance (g_Cl) were assayed at 24 and 48 h after cRNA injection.
