Typical forskolin-induced Ca²+ influx in control HEK-293 cells. HEK-293 cells not expressing CNG channel constructs were treated in the same manner as those in Fig. 3. Forskolin (0, 0.5, 5, or 50 μM) was added 180 s after treatment with 100 μM IBMX. As expected, little or no Ca²+ influx was observed in control HEK-293 cells under any of the experimental conditions described in this paper.
