Deficient IL-12 production in postseptic DCs was not due to excessive IL-10 or other extrinsic effector molecules. Purified splenic DCs from septic or control mice on day 11 after surgery were stimulated by LPS, in the absence or presence of 1 or 10 μg/mL anti-IL-10 antibody. Protein levels of IL-12p70 and IL-10 were determined by Bio-Plex.
