cGMP dose–response relation for homomeric (CNGA1) rod channels with and without 400 nM ATR. Steady-state, cGMP-evoked currents were measured at +100 mV from several patches with and without 400 nM ATR. Averaged data were normalized to the maximum current obtained with 2 mM cGMP and no ATR, and fit with an allosteric model (smooth curves; see materials and methods and Fig. 8 for details).
