Similarity coefficients were generated by the different-bands algorithm and used to construct a dendrogram based on the unweighted pair group method using arithmetic averages for B. bacilliformis isolates and isolate EC-01. Cophenetic values (small numbers in the dendrogram branches) expressed how well the dendrogram correlated with band matching coefficients. Caraz is an area of endemicity for bartonellosis whereas Cusco is not considered to be an area endemicity.
