Data for genotypes I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII (VIIa and VIIb), and VIII were derived from references 15 and 28 and from this study.
A dash indicates genetic identity with the consensus residue.
The majority of the isolates or strains show V-for-I substitutions, while a few isolates or strains exhibit no change.
For the representative strains used in this study, the deduced amino acid sequences and alignments were conducted using the MegAlign program (MegAlign 4.00) in the Lasergene package (DNAStar Inc., Madison, WI).
