Decay of the secG leuU transcript. Total RNA (12 μg/lane) from various strains was isolated at times (minutes after rifampicin addition) indicated at the top of the blot and was separated on a 6% PAGE, transferred to a nylon membrane and probed with probe c (Figure 1A) as described in the Materials and Methods section.
