Neutralization of ED43/JFH1 virus. Approximately 100 TCID₅₀ of ED43/JFH1-γ first-passage virus was incubated with serial 2-fold dilutions of genotype 4a (AA, purple) or genotype 1a (H06, orange) chronic-phase patient samples or a mixture of sera from four HCV-negative controls (black) in final dilutions as indicated, before incubation with Huh7.5 cells. The count of FFUs per well after an incubation period of 2 days is indicated. Each data point represents triplicate experiments. Error bars indicate standard errors of the mean.
