Numbers above bars indicate sample sizes. (B) Mean number of developmentally arrested whiteflies, corresponding to whiteflies that were parasitized but wasp eggs did not hatch. Developmentally arrested whiteflies occurred at significantly higher frequencies in the predicted incompatible cross. Matings from the predicted incompatible cross (uninfected females with infected males) resulted in a significantly higher proportion of inviable offspring (arrested whiteflies) (Inline graphic, P < 0.0001).
