Immunoprecipitation of gE and gI from VZV-infected cells. Cells infected with parental VZV (ROka) or with ORF47 or ORF66 mutant viruses (ROka47S, ROka66S, or ROka47S/66S) were radiolabeled with [³³P]orthophosphate (A), [³⁵S]methionine (B), or [³²P]orthophosphate (C and D). Cells were immunoprecipitated with monoclonal antibody to gE (A, B, and D) or gI (C). The numbers to the right of the blots indicate molecular masses (in kilodaltons). gE is 67 to 98 kDa, and gI is 58 kDa (indicated by arrowheads).
