Freshly isolated CARD6^+/+ and CARD6^−/− thymocytes were treated with the indicated amounts of FasL, anti-CD3, or staurosporine or were exposed to the indicated doses of γ-irradiation or UV irradiation. Results shown are the mean percentages of surviving cells normalized to spontaneous cell death in untreated controls 24 h after treatment. Spontaneous cell death was similar in +/+ and −/− thymocytes. Data shown are the mean percent surviving cells ± standard deviations for triplicate samples. One trial, representative of at least three independent experiments, is presented for each stimulus.
